Volunteers needed to help Worton Parish Council plant WWI Commemorative Trees

Wiltshire Council has supported more than 100 community groups to plant thousands of trees in November – one for every Wiltshire soldier who died during WWI. The project has been made possible due to the generous support of The Woodland Trust who have donated all the 10,800 trees.

Worton Parish Council are planning to plant their share of trees on Sandleaze Bank on Saturday 24 November and this will be led by Councillor Richard Slack.

Lots of volunteers are needed to prepare the ground and plant the trees. Meet at 10am. Please bring a spade!
