Lavington and District Swimming Club

Our local community swimming club could restart at Dauntsey’s, with your help

Whether swimming for fun or lane swimming our club caters for all at an affordable price. Using the lovely Dauntsey School 25 metre Swimming Pool. The Lavington and District Swimming Club are unable to restart swimming at Dauntseys School Pool due to a chronic shortage of lifeguards.  This is a national situation that is impacting pools across the country.

The school are actively seeking to recruit lifeguards and if you, a member of your family or anyone you know, is interested in becoming a lifeguard please contact us at and we will put you in touch with the school and help you through with the recruitment process.  Lifeguards must be 16 years or older and there is a cost associated with training, however, subject to agreement, the club may off set some or all of the cost.

Being a trained lifeguard is a valuable qualification that allows you to be employed at pools country wide and is great paid development opportunity for young people.  It will also benefit the local community by allowing the club to restart swimming.

For information of the club please contact Stephen Read Membership Secretary on 01380 816280 or email:- or contact Club Secretary Anita Holness via email:-
