‘Surviving Winter Fund’ grants

The Surviving Winter grant can provide households with £300 to help with winter fuel costs. This is in addition to the winter fuel payment that everyone over 60 receives.
Grants are made from funds raised by the Wiltshire Community Foundation’s annual Surviving Winter campaign and there is no automatic entitlement to the grant if you fulfil the eligibility criteria.

To be eligible for a grant someone must;
be in receipt of eligible means-tested benefits
be resident in the County of Wiltshire or the Borough of Swindon

And fall into one of the categories below;
be pensionable age and affected by fuel poverty
be of working age with a disability or a long-term health condition which affects their ability to keep warm

Grants are available on a first-come-first-served basis either from Age UK Wiltshire (0808 196 2424) or from Warm & Safe Wiltshire: https://www.warmandsafewiltshire.org.uk/surviving-winter
