The 2018 Worton Monster Trail, for which the theme was Disney Heroes and Villains, was held over the weekend of 27/28 October. A huge thanks to everyone who helped on the day and of course to everyone who made a scarecrow, they were amazing!
We made £451.75 which will be shared between the Village Hall & the School. The trail was attended by around 500 people over the 2 days and there were 27 scarecrows.
Hamper prize winners drawn at random from those who correctly identified all 27 scarecrows were:
adults hamper – Malcolm Powell
child’s hamper 1st place – Arthur
child’s hamper 2nd place – Verity Orford
Best scarecrows chosen by trail participants were: The Lion King made by Lynn Reynolds and Star Wars made by Mark Fisher
Huge thanks to everyone who helped with the event which is entirely organised and run by volunteers from Worton. Thanks to Worton Parish Council who sponsored the event for insurance purposes allowing it to run. Thanks also to Five Lanes School who printed the programmes.
